DeeDee says, "Too cute for words." Tuesday, Jan 26, 2010

Chris left with Abigail this morning around 7 to take her to a Dr's appointment at Kaiser's Interstate Office in Portland and Amber left with Isaac around 7:45 for their Bible Study at Southwest Bible Church in Beaverton. Isaac's doggies looked soooooo lonesome, that I put them in Isaac's bed so Bear could read a story to them.

The Korenthal Korner Bakery - Sunday January 17. 2010

Amber opened up a new business, The Korenthal Korner Bakery, on Sunday, January 17. 2010. Unfortunately, it went out of business later that same day after just the first loaf of bread came out of the bread maker.

Abigail, Sunday, January 17. 2010

Before leaving for church Sunday, Abigail wanted Amber to take pictures of her in her new red shoes.

A Quiet Saturday Morning - January 16, 2009

After Chris went off to work, Amber, Isaac, and Abigail relaxed while watching something on the Sprout On-Demand channel. Later, Abigail and Gramma spent time together looking at designs and different types of material on Gramma's laptop.

Why Gramma's are necessary- bedtime January 7, 2010

I was getting Isaac ready for bed last night and had a little trouble with the squirmy almost-4-year-old who thought it was more fun to wiggle around than cooperate while Papa tried to get him into his PJs. The end result was that he WAS in his pajamas, but when Gramma came downstairs, she had to do some finishing touches before he was pronounced, ready-for-bed.

A nice Winter Day's car ride - January 8, 2010

It wasn't raining this morning, at least around 10:30 when Isaac asked if he could drive his Jeep. We thought it would be a wonderful idea to get the kids outside for a while. Abigail was so excited also because she was going to get to go for a ride in the Jeep and kept saying, "Abigail ride jeep too". It's also great exercise for us walking, or running if disaster appears imminent, while Isaac is "learning how to drive", so we all get a lot out of his driving his jeep. Isaac took his sister for a nice Winter Day's ride for about 15 or 20 minutes, until the battery started running low. He decided to take a trip down the sidewalk, which had DeeDee shouting instructions to STOP - TURN THE WHEEL several times so he would not run off the edge of the curb and fall into the street. When he finally got to the next driveway, she had him drive back into the street and there was no more sidewalk driving, at least for today.

Helping Isaac learn now to drive his Jeep and get around the street without running into anything is sure A WHOLE LOT LESS nerve wracking than last year when I was sitting in the front passenger seat of my Camry while Hanna was learning how to drive so she could take the driving test for her Oregon Driver's License.

A rainy day at Gramma and Papa's house - January 5, 2010

Watching train CDs at Gramma and Papa's, while snacking on popcorn - It's a tough life, but someone has to do it. After a while, Abigail decided it was time to put on her backpack, then she picked up her sippie and Bear, went out by the front door and actually put her shoes on by herself, and announced, "Abigail go for a walk" and hiked around the living room.
