Visiting Fred & Sheila at Long Beach, WA, 9/21/08

DeeDee, Hanna, and I drove about 90 miles to Ocean Park on Long Beach, Washington to visit DeeDee's brother Fred and his wife Sheila.    Fred and Sheila were there with their 5th wheel trailer visiting their undeveloped property they hope to build on some day.   The Long Beach Peninsula is about 21 miles long, parallel to the Pacific Ocean, and just seems to go on forever.   The day was perfect for being at the beach, but with the water being around 52 or colder, no one even thought about going in the water.

Our daughter Amber drove over also so that Isaac and Abigail could meet Great Uncle Fred and Aunt Sheila for the first time.  We walked up and down the beach, looking for shells and sand dollars.  Hanna really enjoyed the beach and Isaac tried his hand at flying a kite.

In the family photo you can see all of us, except for Hanna who volunteered to be the official family photographer.   From left to right:  DeeDee, Abigail, Tom, Isaac, Amber, Sheila, and Fred.   There also was quite a collection of license plates with my California plate, Fred's Wyoming plate and Amber's Oregon plate.
