Vacation #8: 5/17/10: Cruise - at sea, Sardinia and Corsica

AT SEA: On this first full day on the ship, we were at sea en-route to Naples having left Barcelona at 7 PM the night before. We sailed directly east across the Mediterranean from Barcelona toward Naples, passing through the Bonifacio Straight between the islands of Corsica to the north and Sardinia to the south. While the sky was clear, there was a haze at water level due to the wind, so the pictures were not as clear as I had hoped for. The sea had some fairly good swells going, creating just enough waves so that we definitely knew we were on a ship, and we had a following wind most of the day, which made for some great photo opportunities of the water. We both are blessed in that we are not bothered by any types of motion sickness, and I really enjoyed the little bit of pitch, roll, and yaw we experienced. We enjoyed some time at the pools, walking the decks, and just relaxing - and of course EATING the great food that was available when ever we wanted something to eat.
