ST. PETER'S SQUARE: Our last stop in Rome was St. Peter's Square. The lines to get into the public viewing areas and the Vatican were hours long. A few hours earlier, The Pope made his weekly Wednesday public appearance from a second story window, so there were still tons and tons of people in and around the Square. It is almost impossible to take in the immense size of the Square. After spending some time there, we returned to our coach which took us back to Civitavecchia and our ship.
