Vacation #22: 5/24/10: Germany - Bad Wimpfen, Blauer Turm

After leaving Heilbronn, we drove north to the town of Bad Wimpfen on the Neckar River. Bad Wimpfem is just full of little twisty, windy streets, timbered buildings, and the dream of anyone with a camera. Every view looked like it should be the picture on a jigsaw puzzle. We walked around the streets, checked out the Blauer Turm (Blue Tower), and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The Blauer Turm is a castle keep in the center of town and is all that remains of the Kaiserpfalz, or Imperial Palace that once dominated the center of Bad Wimpfen. It dates from the 1200's AD.
