Vacation #20: 5/23/10: Barcelona, Frankfurt, Stuttgart

BARCELONA, FRANKFURT, AND STUTTGART: We docked at the pier in Barcelona at 6 AM. The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is very efficient at getting you off the ship. We had breakfast, then went to our staging area, where they had juices and stuff to snack on until it was our turn to disembark. Once off the ship, we located our luggage, got to the coach that would take us to the airport and our cruise was complete. Back at the Barcelona Airport we had a several hour wait until our flight back to Stuttgart, via Frankfurt. Of course, there was the inevitable McDonald's sign in the Barcelona Airport. You can always find a touch of America in Europe through our fast food companies. After landing at Frankfurt, we had another couple of hours to wait until our flight to Stuttgart. And, I JUST HAD TO HAVE A FRANKFURTER IN FRANKFURT. It was pretty good. We didn't go to Hamburg on our trip to Germany, so I did not get to have the experience of eating a hamburger in Hamburg. The flight from Frankfurt to Stuttgart was only about 25 minutes. Upon landing and getting our luggage, it was really great to see the Reisch family waving to us through the windows as we made our way to the public waiting area. It was like coming home to see such friendly faces. A short 40 minute or so ride from the airport back to Schopflenberg and we were back to our home for the next 9 days.
