Vacation #33: 5/27/10: Zel am Aichelberg, at the quilt shop

Thursday, a day of rest after being on the road the last three days and tomorrow we leave for a two-day/overnighter in Munich. DeeDee wanted to go to a quilt shop to check out fabrics and quilting stuff, so Sabine took us to a local shop in the nearby village of Zel am Aichelberg. The shop was in a residential area with almost no signage, so I guess one just has to know where to go, cause all of a sudden as we wound through teeny tiny narrow roads of houses, Sabine said, "Here we are." As we walked toward the shop I saw a HUGE snail on the ground that I just had to take a picture of. Inside the house, we went to the second floor, which is where the quilt shop is located. Of course DeeDee bought some fabric and she also saw some pillow covers that she really liked. The lady in the shop said she could give DeeDee the instructions for the pillows, but that they were in German. Well, we have a good friend back in Scappoose who is from Germany, so we decided we would take the instructions and see if Wolfgang could translate them for us when we got home. We then returned to Schopflenberg and had a nice quiet afternoon.
